No power failure at Erith this year, except perhaps in some of the athletese. It also turned out to be one of the nicer evenings weather-wise and indeed for BVAC. The men once more came out on top with some fine performances including the usual favourites and Andrew Ingram, making his debut for the club. Ron Gadd also threw a terrific 12.65 in the discuss - all that practice in the gym paid off, Ron! (While some might do shadow boxing, Ron does shadow discuss.) The ladies were able to field a relay team with one to spare, so Barbara kindly offered to step aside (perhaps it waas more like running away really). Connie was spirited enough to tackle her first long jump and once she realises it is better to land on two feet she'll achieve much more! Jan was persuaded to tackle the discuss and threw a fine 11.27m.
