This will be known as the meeting delayed by the arrival of an ambulance to attend to an Ashford runner having problems with his pace-maker (unfortunately, the kind implanted in his body to regulate his heart). He seemed to have recovered by the time he departed and we trust he is OK.
That interrupted the men's 800m race half way through and it had to be rerun with Ray storming home to victory. It was the highlight of the mens programme for which we did manage to turn out a full team but were faced with stiff competition. The night saw PBs in the Long Jump and Discus for Ron - an excellent performance.
